Role Overview:
The Procurement Senior Officer will oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for the execution of Emerge’s projects. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate pricing movements and supplier opportunities.
- Supplier Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and delivery.
- Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage contract lifecycle from negotiation to renewal or termination.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials without overstocking.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements accurately.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction or outdoor living spaces industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
