Senior Procurement Officer

The Procurement Senior Officer will oversee the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services necessary for the execution of Emerge’s projects. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of supply chain management. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Monitor market trends to anticipate pricing movements and supplier opportunities.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
    • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, reliability, and delivery.
    • Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Contract Negotiation:
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage contract lifecycle from negotiation to renewal or termination.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Oversee inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary materials without overstocking.
    • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
    • Coordinate with project managers to forecast material requirements accurately.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in procurement software and Google Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Must Have

  • Experience in Kuwait Market
  • Transferable 18 Visa
  • Driver's License
  • Fluent English Speaking
